Have knowledge of the run your proposeing. If this is first time the trail is being run have a map and/or a gps to guide you. Let other know if this is a first time run.
Have a meeting time and place.
-Conduct a drivers meeting immediately before the run including all drivers
- Discuss safety issues
- Discuss proposed route & schedule (simple maps are nice)
- Perform vehicle safety inspection
Have a tail gunner if possible.
Have a C.B. radio or family type radio to be able to keep in contact with the tail gunner in case of someone getting stuck or other situation.
Have a good running rig & carry the Clubs First Aid Kit.
Make a flyer if possible or put out an email and let the events director know about your planned run.
Write a quick trip report. Tell Us who was there & where you went. Was it fun? Anything exciting happen?
